Grandstream has recently added a few extra steps to the GDMS account creation process. Below, I’ll guide you through each step, with accompanying images to illustrate the interface.
Step 1: Navigate to GDMS
Go to gdms.cloud in your web browser.
Step 2: Click on Sign Up
On the homepage, locate and click the Sign Up button to begin the registration process.
Step 3: Fill in the Required Information
On the registration page, you will see several fields to complete:
Nickname: This is your display name across the platform. You can set it to your first name or any identifier you prefer.
Data Center: For users in New Zealand, selecting the US data center is recommended for the best performance.
User Type: This selection is largely informational and does not significantly impact the platform’s functionality.
Grandstream Device Verification: This is where Grandstream has introduced notable changes.
Step 4: Entering Grandstream Device Verification Details
If you purchased your Grandstream device from us, select Go Wireless NZ as the channel. However, this field is not case-sensitive, ultimately precision is not crucial.
You will also need to enter:
MAC Address: Found on the bottom of your Grandstream device. The image below illustrates where to locate it.
Initial Password: This is typically labeled as WiFi Password or Initial Password on the device’s sticker.
Step 5: Finalizing Registration
After entering the required details:
Click OK.
Enter the verification code on the registration page.
Agree to the terms and conditions.
Submit the form.
Step 6: Approval Process
Once submitted, you’ll see a confirmation message stating that Grandstream will review and approve your account shortly. You will receive a verification email once the process is complete.
Processing Time
The approval team operates out of Singapore, meaning requests from New Zealand will only begin processing after 2 PM NZT. The approval time can vary—some accounts are approved within 30 minutes, while others may take a few hours.
If you experience significant delays, consider checking your spam folder or contacting Grandstream support.
